Daily Grooming for Long-Haired Dogs
Long-haired dogs need daily grooming to prevent painful mats and tangles. Without regular brushing, knots can form close to the skin and cause discomfort or even skin irritation.
Use a liquid-dispensing brush to apply conditioning or nourishing oil as you brush — it detangles, reduces shedding, and leaves the coat soft and shiny. The built-in chamber releases the right amount of product with each stroke, so there's no mess or greasy residue.
How to groom your long-haired dog daily:
- Start at the ends of the fur and gently work your way up toward the roots
- Section the coat as you go — don't try to brush through large clumps at once
- Pay extra attention to high-friction areas: behind the ears, under the arms, and around the collar
- Finish with a light application of nourishing oil for added shine and protection
Consistency is key — even 5–10 minutes a day makes a big difference in coat health and your dog's comfort.
